Prime Video took to social media to reveal the title of its new series which will be based on its Citadel universe. Called Citadel: Diana, the show will premiere in 2024 and will star Matilda De Angelis in the lead role.
The upcoming chapter adds itself to the extension of the Citadel universe the streaming platform is creating. Actors Samantha Ruth Prabhu and Varun Dhawan will play the lead roles in the Indian chapter, while actors Priyanka Chopra Jonas and Richard Madden are the prominent cast in the main installment of the global franchise.
Directed by Arnaldo Catinari, Citadel: Diana is developed by Alessandro Fabbri who wrote the series along with Ilaria Bernardini, Laura Colella, Gianluca Bernardini, and Giordana Mari. Others part of the cast include Lorenzo Cervasio, Maurizio Lombardi, Julia Piaton, Thekla Reuten, Daniele Paoloni, Bernhard Schütz, and Filippo Nigro.
Citadel is a spy action drama series which revolves around global spy agency which is destroyed by operatives of Manticore. While two spies, Mason Kane (Richard Madden) and Nadia Sinh (Priyanka Chopra Jonas) have their memories wiped off, they remain hidden and start building new identities. But as the past revisits them, trouble brews for the spies.
