Hayao Miyazaki's How Do You Live? runtime revealed

Japanese filmmaker Hayao Miyazaki's upcoming film How Do You Live? is expected to have a runtime of two hours and four minutes.

Attached to Studio Ghibli, the film marks the director's comeback film since he had announced a "definitive" retirement in 2013. His last feature direcrorial was the 2013 The Wind Rises. While the makers of How Do You Live? have chosen not to reveal any promotional material before the release of the animated film, reports suggest that the film is based on the 1937 novel by author Yuzo Yamamoto.

The novel follows the life of a teenager who has lost his father as he begins to see a paternal figure in his uncle. As his uncle parts his knowledge on life with the boy, the project is expected to be in line with the studio's body of works that tells stories for children.

While a release date is yet to be announced worldwide, the film will hit the Japan theatres on July 14.
