With just a few days left for the release of the much-anticipated Devashish Makhija film, Joram, the makers have released a trailer. The film, starring Manoj Bajpayee and Mohammed Zeeshan Ayyub has been doing the festival rounds winning top awards in various events. The film, backed by Zee Studios and Makhijafilm, is set to hit theatres on December 8. 

In the video, we see Manoj as a hunted man, who is on the run with a daughter in his arms. He is chased by not just the cops, but his past too. The gritty trailer also gives us a glimpse into the other major players of the film, including Rajshri Despande, Tannishtha Chatterjee, and Smita Tambe. Billed to be a psychological thriller coupled as a survival drama, Joram will explore 

Joram, which was previously screened at the Durban International Film Festival, won the Best Actor Award for Manoj Bajpayee and the Best Cinematography Award for Piyush Puty. It had also been selected for the Busan Film Festival in the 'A Window in Asian Cinema' category. The film also had its premiere in various other festivals, including Rotterdam, Sydney and the Edinburgh International Film Festival.

Directed by Devashish Makhija, Joram is a psychological thriller about a hunted, displaced man who is on the run to protect his daughter. The film also deals with issues such as social inequalities, injustice within the tribal communities and deforestation. 

Joram is produced by Zee Studios and Makhijafilm. Besides Manoj and Zeeshan, the film also features Rajshri Deshpande, Tannishtha Chatterjee and Smita Tambe in prominent roles.
