We had previously reported about the makers of the Yami Gautam starrer Nayyi Navelli locking October 16 as the release date for their film. On Friday, the team released the first single from their film, titled ‘Bhaai Tabaahi’. GV Prakash Kumar is the music composer for the film.
Written by Vayu, ‘Bhabhi Tabaahi’ is an energetic fusion-based composition that combines different elements like folk music, Punjabi, and western techno sound to create a foot-tapping dance number. Neeti Mohan has sung the number with great vigour, while the music video features Yami Gautam as Mohini bringing the house down with her dance moves as she rises upto every challenge thrown by her suspicious brother-in-law Bantu (Anurag Thakur). Sharaarat fame Vijay Ganguly has choreographed the song video.
The official teaser of the film was released a few weeks ago.
Directed by Balaji Mohan and presented by Amazon MGM Studios in association with Aanand L Rai, Nayyi Navelli has story by Himanshu Sharma and screenplay and dialogues by Divy Nidhi Sharma. The supporting cast of the film includes Sunita Rajwar, Suneel Sinha, Sushmita Mukherjee, Mita Vashisht, Addinath Kothare and Sonal Jha.
In the technical team, the film has Rishi Punjabi as the cinematographer, Ravi Srivastava as the production designer and Sumeet Kotian as the editor. Other key technicians include Rushi Sharma and Manoshi Nath in charge of costumes and Shipra Singh Acharya for make-up and prosthetics. Mahesh Mathew is the action director. So far, Nayyi Navelli is the only big release for October 16, which is a Dussehra weekend.
Yami Gautam was seen in the Muslim social drama Haq, for which she received plenty of acclaim.
