The trailer of season 2 of Gajraj Rao, Renuka Shahane, Sparsh Shrivastava, and Bhuvan Arora starrer comedy-drama series Dupahiya was unveiled by the makers on Monday.
Directed by Sonam Nair, Dupahiya season two is created and produced by Salona Bains Joshi and Shubh Shivdasani under the banner of Bombay Film Cartel LLP, and created and written by Avinash Dwivedi, and Chirag Garg.
Picking up from where season one ended, the new season returns with its ensemble star cast reprising their roles. Dinesh Lal Yadav (Nirahua) is the new joinee in the team.
We return to the fictional village of Dhadakpur. Sparsh’s Bhugol wanted to be famous on social media in the first season. He did find fame but only when he cross-dressed as a female dancer and that irks him. For Gajraj’s Banwari, there is a new money-making opportunity on the horizon—a barren piece of land owned by him might be getting a mobile tower. Shivani Raghuvanshi’s Roshini is facing exam troubles with Amavas (Bhuvan Arora) by her side. With countless hurdles and chaos awaiting our characters at every turn, will Dhadakpur keep it together?
Sharing her thoughts on the new season, director Sonam Nair said, “Dupahiya holds a special place in my heart, and it has been an exciting journey since we brought the first season to viewers. The love our audiences have shown for season one and the fandom built around it have been incredibly encouraging, and I am confident that season two will be received with the same enthusiasm.”
Dupahiya returns on Prime Video on October 1.
