Singer and actor Sofia Hayat, who was once a contestant on Bigg Boss, has hit out at Salman Khan over his shirtless moment in the reality show. Calling Salman a “hypocritical idiot”, Sofia claimed that the actor once criticised her body and face while complimenting Gauahar Khan’s physique.
Sofia was part of Bigg Boss 7 which came in 2013 and was ultimately won by Gauhar. The season also featured Ajaz Khan, Sangram Singh, Armaan Kohli, VJ Andy, Kushal Tandon, Elli Avram, Kamya Punjabi and the late Pratyusha Banerjee. Tanishaa Mukerji finished as the first runner-up.
A video of Salman taking off his shirt on Bigg Boss’s Weekend Ka Vaar episode and challenging trolls to mock him is going viral on social media. Sofia took to X to comment on the video and wrote, "SALMAN is an hypocritical idiot. When I was in Bigg Boss he criticised my body and face..and told Gauahar (Khan) her body was good. Argh.”
During the Bigg Boss episode Salman hit out at trolls and paparazzi for commenting on bodies of celebrities. She didn’t take Katrina Kaif’s name but he questioned people for trolling a celebrity who has gained weight after pregnancy. He also criticised paparazzi for taking rear shots of celebrities.
The actor also responded to him being shamed for his age on social media. "Of course, I'm 60 years old, yaar," he said.
"You cannot be Maine Pyar Kiya all the time...this age has become (a topic) suddenly (log kehte hai) woh budha hogya hai...what do you want to troll....mujhe pata hai mujhe kaun kaun troll karta hai...hum react nahin krte ...humare fans club itne sare hai...humko kya farak padta hai...bolne do inko... (People say I have grown old. What exactly do you want to troll? I know who all troll me. I don’t react. I have a lot of fan clubs, I don’t care. Let them say what they have to" he added.
