The official trailer of the Sidharth Malhotra-Tamannaah Bhatia starrer The Vvaan - Force of The Forrest was unveiled on Wednesday. The film is scheduled to arrive in theatres on September 25.
The trailer begins by establishing its backdrop, a mythical and fatal forest that has a mysterious set of rules, and Bhutakke its evil forces who have destroyed all those lives who refused to abide by it. We are then introduced to the protagonist (Sidharth), a common man who arrives in the Devanchal village for a work assignment, that requires cutting off some trees of the dreadest forest for a road construction.
The villagers show resistant to the project, and the protagonist is desperate to leave from there - without realising that he is destined to be the saviour of the village and protect everyone around against the might of the forest with supernatural powers. Tamannaah plays Mamta, the protagonist’s wife who however is a strong believer of god.
The film also promises to showcase Sunil Grover in a new light, with him playing a menacing antagonist. The ensemble cast includes Maniesh Paul, Shweta Tiwari, and Anup Soni. With an immersive world-building and plenty of big-scale action set pieces, The Vvaan promises to be a thrilling theatrical experience.
The Vvaan is directed by Deepak Kumar Mishra who has been long associated with TVF, and directed popular shows like Panchayat and Permanent Roommates. Manu Anand, meanwhile, is credited as cinematographer and visual director. Anurabh Kumar is credited as the writer, while Anandeshwar Dwivedi has penned the dialogues. The film is produced by Shobha Kapoor, Ektaa R Kapoor, Arunabh Kumar, and Niraj Kothari, jointly under the banners of The Viral Fever and 11:11 Productions and presented by Balaji Telefilms.
The Vvaan also has multiple composers on board like Vishal Mishra, Amit Trivedi, Tanishk Bagchi, and Sam CS. In the technical team, Nitin Baid is the editor, while production design is jointly helmed by Amit Ray and Subrata Chakraborty. Sandeep Shirodkar has composed background score, while Parvez Shaikh is the action director
