Katrina Kaif and Vicky Kaushal recently made an appearance at Ambani family's Ganesh Chaturthi celebration ceremony in Mumbai. However, once after the couple’s photos and videos surfaced on the internet, Katrina found herself at the receiving end of gruelling backlash for her postpartum appearance and her alleged weight gain. But soon, the backlash was met by extreme support from Katrina’s fans.
Sharing an old clip from one of Katrina’s films, an X user named ‘@marlboroadvv’ wrote, “Funny how people have the audacity to body shame someone like katrina kaif when she literally owned beauty in her prime.” Another fan with handle @aalotikkiburger, penned, “Making memes out of a 43 year old woman simply for existing and aging naturally is wild behavior. Katrina Kaif is still drop dead gorgeous.”
Meanwhile, a section of social media also defended Katrina Kaif from a more biological perspective, shifting focus to the struggles of postpartum life and challenges of motherhood. An X user named ‘@T_Investor_’ said, “ I fail to understand why people are so concerned about Katrina Kaif’s looks. Motherhood changes your body, hormones, emotions and energy. Every mother deserves time, space, and compassion to heal. Postpartum is a journey, not a beauty contest.”
Another X user ‘@hajarkagalwa,’ wrote, “Imagine calling Katrina Kaif "finished" just because a 43 year old woman looks 43. If you step outside, you'll realize there are millions of women in their 40s who look exactly their age, including probably someone's mother in almost every household.
This is not the first time Katrina has been trolled for her postpartum appearance. Around 3 weeks ago, Katrina and Vicky were spotted at the funeral and prayer meet of filmmaker Kuku Kohli, where netizens criticised the actor’s weight gain and made insensitive comments.
Vicky and Katrina got married on December 9, 2025. Since then, Katrina has appeared in 3 films — Phone Bhoot, Tiger 3 and Merry Christmas. On November 7, 2025, the couple welcomed their first child, named Vihaan.
