Actor Celina Jaitly, who is currently stuck in a divorce battle with her estranged husband Peter Haag, took to social media recently to share the pain of being unable to accompany her sons on their first day of the school year.

In an emotional note, the actor also stated that she fears she might miss further school days in the year as well. She also told her children to not feel pressured to choose between their parents, stressing that they are free to love both their mother and father.

Celina shared two throwback photos of her children from school and wrote, “#firstdayofschool: Saying this here since I cannot reach you, my boys: A new school year begins. What I wouldn’t give for one morning hug, one kiss and one ‘Bye, Mummy.’"

She then went on to remember the time when she used to help them prep for school, from putting covers on their notebooks to packing them lunch. “I once covered your schoolbooks. Today, I cover you in prayers," she wrote. “All the best for your first day of school, my darling Winston, Viraaj and Arthur. Mummy remembers the school projects, the books we wrapped and the ladybug Schultüten I made for you in Dubai, or the week before school opened, when I lovingly spent time baking Schnecke and Laadi Pavs for school in Austria. Such simple moments. Such extraordinary happiness."

Celina went on to speak about being separated from her children and said she fears she may not be present for their school days for the remainder of the year.

“I will not be able to be there for your first day of school, and I fear I may miss all your school days for the rest of 2026. My heart breaks at this painful situation," she wrote.

“Whatever happens between adults, my deepest wish is that you can freely share these everyday moments with both your parents. I wish I could hear every little detail when you come home," she added.

She told her sons Winston, Viraaj and Arthur that they do not have to take sides between her and Peter.

“My boys, you never have to choose. You can love both Mummy and Daddy. Mummy will always support that. You never need to feel guilty about loving either of us," she wrote.

Celina ended the post by assuring her sons that they could reach out whenever they were able to.

“Whenever you can reach out, Mama is here. My love has no conditions, and no distance can change it. You carry your schoolbags today, my loves. Mummy carries you in every heartbeat," she signed off.

Celina’s post comes amid her ongoing divorce proceedings with Peter Haag, who filed for divorce in an Austrian court last year.

The Mumbai Police later registered an FIR against Haag following a complaint filed by Celina. He has reportedly been booked under multiple provisions of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita in connection with allegations of physical violence, cruelty, criminal intimidation and sustained harassment.

Authorities are currently collecting statements and evidence, while investigators are also examining documents and records linked to the case.

Celina married Peter in 2010 after stepping away from mainstream Bollywood. The couple welcomed twin boys in 2012 and another set of twins in 2017. Shamsher, Arthur’s twin brother, died shortly after birth due to a heart condition.
