Naqiyah Haji, who was last seen in Heartbeats season 2, will soon be seen in a key role in the upcoming comedy Party Animals, which stars Viraj Ghelani and Arjun Tanwar in the lead. The actor spoke about the film, talking about why it’s a perfect group watch for the current generation.
In the film, Naqiyah plays Sakshi, a spirited party girl who lives in the moment and embraces life on her own terms. The role marks a refreshing departure from her portrayal of Dr Nats in Heartbeats. Talking about her role, Naqiyah said, “Playing Sakshi has been a lot of fun because I’ve jumped directly from playing a doctor to playing this completely different party girl. It’s been a fun, challenging, and exciting experience as an actor, and I’m really looking forward to people seeing this side of me on screen.”
Reflecting on why the film should resonate with Gen Z, Naqiyah said, “Party Animals is a youthful film. It’s fun, chaotic. Most importantly, I hope Gen Z relates to the characters, has a great time watching the film, and just enjoys the madness!” She also described the film as ‘a desi version of The Hangover meets 21 Jump Street.’
