A few days ago, we had reported about the announcement of Tu Hai Meri Kiran, starring Sonakshi Sinha and Zaheer Iqbal in lead. On Tuesday, the makers officially unveiled the trailer of their film. Written and directed by Karan Rawal, the film is set for theatrical release on October 23.
The thriller promises to tell the story of Samar (Zaheer), a simple-looking but obsessing young man who falls for Kiran (Sonakshi), a woman way out of his league, but refuses to take a ‘no’ from her. Struggling to cope with the rejection, Samar turns increasingly unstable as he makes Kiran’s life a living hell, stalking her in unimaginable ways, creating a dent in her personal relationships. "When the mind forgets, time remembers," the tagline reads.
Sonakshi and Zaheer, who are also married to each other, first worked together in the 2022 film Double XL.
Presented by Echelon Productions in association with PAM Studios & AND Productions, the film also features Ankit Gupta, Sherlin Seth, Zarina Wahab and Purnendu Bhattacharya in the ensemble cast. The film also borrows its title from an iconic song from 1993 film Darr, which too was about a violently obsessive lover.
In the technical team, the film has Utkarsh Marulkar as cinematographer and Atanu Mukherjee as the editor. OAFF and Savera have composed music for the film. Other key crew members include action director Vikram Dahiya and background score composers Advait Nemlekar & Shalom Benjamin
At the box office, Tu Hai Meri Kiran will clash against the Ayushmann Khurrana starrer Udta Teer and Gulshan Devaiah-Rasika Dugal led Little Thomas.
Sonakshi Sinha was last seen in the OTT film System, which also starred Jyothika in lead, and released on Prime Video in May this year.
