The firing incident took place in Mumbai on the evening of October 18, when two unindentified assailants opened fire on the actor's car while he was returning from a football ground in Juhu area. The attackers reportedly fired five rounds at his vehicle. Although Tiger Shroff escaped without any major injuries, his driver and a bystander sustained minor injuries. On October 27, 2026, the Mumbai Police invoked the stringent Maharashtra Control of Organised Crime Act (MCOCA) against the suspects.

After the incident, members of the jailed Lawrence Bishnoi gang, claimed responsibility of the attack reportedly and further investigations have commenced ever since, arresting 13 members linked to the incident. The probe spans multiple states including Rajasthan (Kota), Delhi, and Haryana (Sonipat and Karnal). Investigators revealed that the attackers communicated using encrypted apps like Signal and Zangi.

The Baaghi actor recorded a detailed statement denying any prior threats or connections to the motives claimed online, that being extortion and creating terror in the Bollywood Film Industry as claimed by Bishnoi's gang. Reports also said that Tiger Shroff was targeted for his closeness to Salman Khan, further directing intimidation at people associated with the actor.  While 13 people have been arrested as of Sunday, the police is continuing its probe into the case, with ongoing investigation underway.
