‘Tujhko’, a romantic track from the upcoming romantic-drama Cocktail 2, was unveiled by the makers on Monday. Composed by Pritam and sung by Arijit Singh, the song has been written by Amitabh Bhattacharya.
Picturised on Shahid Kapoor and Rashmika Mandanna, the song traces the love story of their characters, from meet-cute in college, to a long-distance and ultimately a live-in relationship. Wrapped in warm visuals, flowing silhouettes and sunlit frames, ‘Tujhko’ creates a world that feels tender, effortless and emotionally immersive.
Speaking about the song, Shahid shared, “’Tujhko’ has a certain stillness to it, the kind that sneaks up on you. It’s romantic without trying too hard, and that’s what I connected with most. There is an ease and intimacy to the song that feels very real.”
Rashmika added, “For me, ‘Tujhko’ feels like a warm hug. It’s soft, emotional and filled with little moments.”
Previously two more songs from the film--'Jab Talak' and 'Mashooqa'-- have been released by the makers. The film's trailer is scheduled to be unveiled on May 29.
Directed by Homi Adajania and also featuring Kriti Sanon, Cocktail 2 is scheduled to release in theatres on June 19.
