We had earlier reported about Ananya Panday-Lakshya starrer Chand Mera Dil being slated for May 22 release. With the makers of Bandar and Hai Jawani Toh Ishq Hona Hai postponing their release, Chand Mera Dil is now the solo release on May 22. On Tuesday, the makers released new single from their film, titled ‘Khasiyat.’
Underneath its groovy beats, ‘Khasiyat’ has an old-school sweetness to its melody. While the arrangement is very youthful and fast-paced, it’s the earnest vocals of Raghav Chaitanya and Jonita that lend the number a distinct edge. Sachin-Jigar have composed music for the film that’s billed as a modern romance, and Amitabh Bhattacharya has penned the lyrics
The ‘Khasiyat’ music video also establishes the campus romance vibes with great vigour and a unique visual styling. Vivek Soni, who has previously made films like Meenakshi Sundereshwar (2021) and Aap Jaisa Koi (2025), is the director for the film. Meanwhile, Karan Johar, Adar Poonawalla, Apoorva Mehta, Somen Mishra and Marijke deSouza serve as the producers.
This is also the first collaboration between Ananya and Lakshya. Ananya was last seen in the rom-com Tu Meri Main Tera Main Tera Tu Meri, while Lakshya's previous project was the Netflix series The Ba***ds of Bollywood.
