On Friday morning, Ramayana producer Namit Malhotra made a special announcement about their film, giving a special treat to fans. The next glimpse of Ramayana, titled ‘Rama’ glimpse, will be unveiled on April 2, on the occasion of Hanuman Jayanti, officially revealing Ranbir Kapoor's look in the film.
In a heartwarming post on his social media page, Namit posted, “This is a story that belongs to all of us and every step we take has been guided by a deep sense of responsibility, devotion, and care to bring our very own Ramayana to life in its truest spirit and scale with utmost sincerity.”
While confirming that the ‘Rama glimpse’ will be unveiled on next Friday, Namit added, “We look forward to sharing the next glimpse, as we begin to showcase all these years of our effort through a grand world reveal with fans celebrating this moment across the world.”
Directed by Nitesh Tiwari, Ramayana boasts a massive ensemble cast, led by Ranbir Kapoor and Sai Pallavi who will be seen in the roles of Lord Rama and Sita respectively. Additionally, the film features Sunny Deol, Yash, Ravi Dubey, Kajal Aggarwal, Shobana, Sheeba Chaddha, Arun Govil and Rakul Preet Singh. While Namit is credited for story, Sridhar Raghavan is the screenplay writer for Ramayana.
Produced by Namit’s Prime Focus Studios in association with 8-time Oscar-winning DNEG and Yash’s Monster Mind Creations, Ramayana is envisioned as a two-part cinematic spectacle slated for a worldwide IMAX release, with the first part arriving on Diwali 2026 and part 2 tentatively scheduled for Diwali 2027.
