On Monday, ZEE5 unveiled the first look of their upcoming film Dalimb: The Myth. Starring Jitendra Kumar in the lead, the film will be released directly on OTT soon.
Jitendra Kumar, who is popular for his boy-next-door persona in shows like Panchayat and Kota Factory, is unrecognisable in the first look poster, where he can be seen donning the attire of a traditional performing artist based in folk lore traditions. The poster caption reads, “Rangon ke beech ek aisa rahasya… jo kabhi dikhta nahin. (A mystery shrouded amidst all the colours, a mystery that no one can see.) This Holi, the colour isn’t celebration… it’s a warning. Dalimb – The myth is watching.” It is to be noted that the word ‘Dalimb’ means Pomegranate in Marathi.
Besides Jitendra Kumar, Dalimb features Priya Bapat, Kshitish Date, Kavin Dave, Sai Prasad, Harish Kulkarni, and Sagar Yadav in lead cast. The film is produced by Tanuj Garg and Atul Kasbekar under the banner of Ellipsis Entertainment. Debutant Priya Aven, who has previously worked on projects like Shabaash Mithu and Andhadhun, helms direction. A premiere date for Dalimb is yet to be announced.
