It has been a week since the release of director Suresh Triveni's film Maa Behen on Netflix. Starring Madhuri Dixit and Triptii Dimri, among others, the film has been receiving much positive appreciation from viewers ever since its release. Priyanka Chorpa is the latest film personality to commend the comedy-thriller, directed by Suresh Triveni from a screenplay he wrote with Pooja Tolani.
Taking to her Instagram Stories space, Priyanka Chorpa shared, "My queen Madhuri Dixit, always the scene stealer and the phenomenon Triptii Dimri... what an amazing show and tell!" Priyanka also appreciated Dharna Durga's performance in the film. Tagging Dharna, she wrote, "I have been such a fan always, and I cannot wait to see what all you unleash upon us. Keep crushing!!"
According to Priyanka Chopra, Maa Behen is an "honest and cinematic" experience, and director Suresh Triveni has "such a beautiful vision". The actor ended her review of the film by congratulating the whole team behind it.
The film follows Rekha (Madhuri) who seeks the help of her alienated daughters, Sushma (Dharna Durga) and Jaya (Triptii Dimri), as she gets into a troublesome situation. It also stars Ravi Kishan, Geetanjali Kulkarni, Shardul Bhardwaj, Arunoday Singh, Rrama Sharma, Arpit Singh, and Shrivardhan Trivedi.
In our Maa Behen review, Kartik Bhardwaj wrote, "The film functions better as a domestic dramedy than a crime comedy. It opens with promise but the script loses the plot somewhere in between. The central mystery of what exactly happened to Gupta ji has a long-winded and ludicrous reveal. The film packs a lot and is often unable to deliver on all its wares." The review added, "But Maa Behen drives home the point it sets out to do."
