A few weeks ago, we had reported about the makers of The India Story setting July 24 as their film’s release date. The official trailer of the Kajal Aggarwal Kitchlu-Shreyas Talpade starrer was unveiled on Friday.
The India Story trailer is unique in a way that it doesn’t contain any scenes or snippets from the film. Instead, it is composed entirely of info-cards and news footage, which focus on one of the most under-talked about battles of our nation — the battle with pesticides and food adulteration. The tagline ‘Slow Poison in Progress,’ too captures the said theme.
Directed by Chettan DK, The India Story promises to be an explosive political thriller that throws light upon a much-needed subject that is relevant to the contemporary India and its middle-class populace in particular. Sagar B Shinde, who has produced the film, is also the scriptwriter for the film.
The ensemble cast of the film includes Trisha Sarda, Murli Sharma, Manish Wadhwa, Atul Tiwari, Kamlesh Sawant, and Sham Mashilkar. In the technical team, the film has cinematographer Nishant Bhagwat, editor Ashish Mhatre, and production designer Meetesh Zorf. Mangesh Dhakde has composed music for the film.
