Vishal Bhardwaj directorial O’Romeo boasts of an impressive ensemble with Shahid Kapoor, Triptii Dimri, Nana Patekar, Farida Jalal and Avinash Tiwary in the cast list. The Sajid Nadiadwala production is also special because it reunites not just Vishal and Shahid about 9 years after Rangoon (2017) but also the latter and Nana Patekar after Paathshaala (2010).
As per the film’s trailer, while Shahid is playing the role of gangster Arjun Ustara, Nana seems to be essaying the role of a cop who can strongarm him. Talking about reuniting with Nana, Shahid said, “I really enjoyed working with Nana Patekar in Paathshaala. In fact, I was talking to him just today. I told him, ‘Sir, the chemistry between you and me is very sexy.’ It’s great fun working with him.”
“When the camera turns on and he starts performing, it’s not only enjoyable to work with him, but you also get to learn a lot from him. I’ve been watching him since my childhood. In this film, we have some very entertaining scenes together,” he added.
O’Romeo is scheduled to release on February 13.
