The official trailer of Border 2 was unveiled on Thursday, on the proud occasion of Border 2. The upcoming war action-drama, mounted as a spiritual sequel to 1997 blockbuster Border, is slated to arrive in theatres on January 23.

The Border 2 trailer captures the resolve that drives every Indian soldier — be it on land, sky or water — to protect their nation against forces much bigger than them. Charged-up monologues by Sunny Deol run as an undercurrent throughout the trailer, lending it a lot of adrenaline and patriotic fervour. Besides establishing its other primary characters (played by Varun Dhawan, Diljit Dosanjh, Ahan Shetty) and their camaraderie, the trailer also ensures to give audience glimpse of the soldiers’ personal lives and everything that comes at stake as these soldiers leave their homes in pursuit of serving the nation.

Anurag Singh helms direction for Border 2. Sonam Bajwa, Mona Singh, Medha Rana, and Anyaa Singh play the female leads in the film.

Inspired from the 1971 India-Pakistan war, the film is produced by JP Films and T-Series.  Bhushan Kumar, Krishan Kumar, JP Dutta, and Nidhi Dutta serve as producers. Nidhi has also penned the story, while screenplay and dialogues are penned by director Anurag Singh and Sumit Arora.

Anshul Chobey is the cinematographer, Manish More is the editor, and Mayur Sharma is the production designer. Background score is by John Stewar Eduri. Notable action directors like Ravi Varma, Nick Powell, Parvez Shaikh, and  Allan Amin are on board for the war-actioner.
