A few weeks ahead of their film’s release, the makers of Dhurandhar 2 find themselves in trouble, after the team allegedly violated many rules during a shoot schedule in Mumbai. Reportedly, BMC’s A-ward office has recommenced blacklisting the film’s production banner B62 Studios over the same.
Accordion to reports, the crew members of Dhurandhar 2 broke many stipulations during the filming of Dhurandhar 2, including using certain locations without obtaining necessary permits for the shoot. The team also reportedly lit torches at certain high-security places, post which Mumbai police had to intervene and seize the equipment.
Other violations include operations of generator vans on-site without approvals from local authorities, and using drone to shoot in the high-security Fort area in South Mumbai with necessary permits. In case of the latter, an FIR was filed against Rinku Rajpal Valmiki on February 1 at MRA Marg Police Station under the charges of deliberate disregard of orders.
Reportedly, BMC has issued an official letter to Deputy Municipal Commissioner (DMC), proposing a permanent ban on the studio from using the state’s filming portal, besides an additional ban of Rs 1 lakh on the studio. An official announcement about DMC’s response to the proposal is yet to be made.
Meanwhile, Dhurandhar 2 is set to arrive in theatres on March 19, clashing against Yash-starrer Toxic.
