Wamiqa Gabbi shares striking coincidence between Jab We Met and Pati Patni Aur Woh Do
Recently, we reported about Wamiqa Gabbi starring in a sequel to the 2019 film Pati Patni Aur Woh, which itself is a remake of a 1978 film of the same name starring Sanjeev Kumar and Vidya Sinha. Also starring Ayushmann Khurrana and Sara Ali Khan, the film has been slated for a summer release in theatres. Meanwhile, Wamiqa shared a striking coincidence between her upcoming film and 2007's Jab We Met, directed by Imtiaz Ali and starring Kareena Kapoor and Shahid Kapoor.
The actor portrayed Geet (Kareena) and Roop Kaur Dhillon's (Saumya Tandon) cousin in the film. The other day, she took to her Instagram Stories to reminisce about working with choreographer Bosco Martis on the 2007 film as she completed her portions for Pati Patni Aur Woh Do.
"From being on the sets of 'Nagada Nagada' (Jab We Met) as a child to actually being choreographed by Bosco Martis. Couldn't have asked for a better wrap," Wamiqa Gabbi wrote. The actor pinned the popular Jab We Met song 'Nagada Nagada' to her Story and shared a picture featuring herself with the choreographer.
Coming back to the Pati Patni Aur Woh sequel, the 2019 film's director Mudassar Aziz is coming back for the project. While the 2019 film stars Kartik Aaryan, Bhumi Pednekar, and Ananya Panday in the lead roles, the sequel has a fresh cast. Rakul Preet Singh is also part of the cast for the second part to the film.
Bhushan Kumar and Renu Ravi Chopra serve as the producers of the film, with Juno Chopra attached to it as a creative producer. Backed by T-Series and BR Studios, the film was earlier set for a March 04 release, but it has now been pushed back.
