

Veteran actor Sunil Thapa breathed his last on Saturday, February 7. The actor, who most recently made an appearance in The Family Man 3, was 68 years old.
Sunil, who was a renowned actor in Nepali film industry, also worked in plenty of Hindi and Bhojpuri movies over the last forty years. His first popular role in Hindi cinema arrived in Ek Duje Ke Liye (1981). Besides being an actor, Sunil also worked as a model, a photojournalist, and a professional footballer in his career.
The actor came back to limelight with the Priyanka Chopra starrer Mary Kom (2014), where he played the protagonist’s coach. In the third season of The Family Man, Sunil played the role of local Nagaland leader David Khuju, sharing screen with the likes of Manoj Bajpayee and Dalip Tahil.
In all, Sunil Thapa worked in more than 300 movies as an actor.
The cause of Sunil Thapa’s death is not confirmed yet. According to a report in Kathmandu Post, doctors suspect a cardiac arrest.
