The teaser of Alia Bhatt-backed OTT film Don’t Be Shy was unveiled by the makers on Thursday. The coming-of-age film is written and directed by Sreeti Mukerji and introduces fresh faces like Aarushi Bajaj as Shy, Piyush Khati as Mayank, Bianca Arora as Tara, and Ansh Duggal as Dhruv. It is produced by Alia and Shaheen Bhatt’s Eternal Sunshine Productions.
The blink-and-miss teaser takes us into the life of Shyamili ‘Shy’ Das, a 20-year-old girl whose life is full of friendship, fun, love and heartbreak. The over 1-minute teaser introduces the glammy world of Shy with everything from romance to coming-of-age chaos. The brief video gives a Karan Johar-esque vibe to the film and also reminds of the colourful vibrancy of The Archies.
Co-produced by Grishma Shah and Vikesh Bhutani from Chalkboard Entertainment, the film also features Kunaal Roy Kapur, Anurag Basu, Neha Dhupia, and Anju Alva Naik in pivotal roles. It will start streaming on Prime Video from September 25.
