Actor Aditya Seal and Anushka Ranjan have doubled their joy with the arrival of twin baby girls. The couple announced on social media that they became parents on August 23.
Sharing the news on Instagram, the couple expressed their excitement over beginning this new chapter with their daughters. “My sunshines are here to brighten our lives. Our hearts are full of love and gratitude,” they wrote, adding the names of the newborns and the hashtag #TeamGirl.
The announcement comes nearly three months after Aditya and Anushka revealed that they were expecting their first children. On May 29, the couple had shared photographs from their maternity shoot while announcing the pregnancy. The post also introduced the girls as Vira Ranjan Seal and Mahi Ranjan Seal.
The arrival of Vira and Mahi also marks the culmination of what Anushka has described as a challenging IVF journey. In June, the actor opened up about undergoing fertility treatment and the physical toll it took on her. She revealed that she had taken approximately 150 injections during the process, many of which were administered by Aditya in the initial stages.
Anushka also spoke about the misconceptions she initially had about IVF. She admitted that she once associated the treatment with something being wrong with her, but later realised the importance of speaking openly about fertility and challenging the stigma surrounding assisted reproduction. She credited Aditya and her family for helping her through the difficult phase.
The couple's relationship began in 2017 after they met at an event organised by Anushka's mother. Their friendship eventually turned into a relationship, and Aditya later proposed to her during a vacation in Paris in 2019. They married in Mumbai on November 21, 2021, after dating for several years. Now, almost five years into their marriage, Aditya and Anushka have entered parenthood with not one but two new additions to their family.
