On Friday evening, Sanjay Dutt surprised all his fans by sharing the announcement teaser of Khalnayak Returns, the sequel to his 1993 hit Khalnayak.
The teaser establishes the Khalnayak protagonist, menacing as ever, as he talks about his inevitable escape, with recall dialogues from the 1993 film that instantly takes audience down the memory lane. The actor also sings the iconic song 'Khalnayak Hoon Main,' as he declares his return. “Kuch kahaani khatam nahi hoti... woh dobara shuru hoti hai, (Some stories never end... they pick up right where they left off)” the caption read in the announcement post.
While it is not clear yet whether Khalnayak filmmaker Subhash Ghai will return to the director’s chair, Khalnayak Returns is being jointly produced by Jio Studios, Aspect Entertainment and Third Dimension Motion Pictures. The teaser also doesn’t reveal any other prominent team members, including the technicians or other cast members. More details are expected to be announced soon.
Sanjay Dutt, meanwhile, is gearing up for another release with Aakhri Sawal, the political drama that will arrive in theatres on May 8.
