Considering the massive box office success of Shah Rukh Khan starrer Jawan (2023), the speculations were always rife about a possible sequel to the film. Now reports are coming in that filmmaker Atlee and Shah Rukh Khan are actually planning for Jawan 2.
According to reports, the actor-director duo had been working on the Jawan 2 script for a while now. Finally, a few weeks ago, Shah Rukh Khan reportedly gave his approval to the script, confirming that he will begin work on the film after completing his upcoming project King.
Directed by Siddharth Anand, King is being mounted as a massive actioner, with a huge ensemble including Deepika Padukone, Abhishek Bachchan, Suhana Khan, Raghav Juyal, Jaideep Ahlawat, Anil Kapoor and Rani Mukerji among many others. King is locked for theatrical release on December 24 this year.
Meanwhile, Atlee too is busy working on the Allu Arjun starrer Raaka, which too stars Deepika Padukone in lead cast. The first look poster of Raaka was unveiled recently to positive reactions on social media.
The reports also state that much like Jawan, which had Vijay Sethupathi playing the villain, Atlee is planning to rope in an A-lister for the antagonist part in Jawan 2. Any confirmation from the makers is yet to arrive.
Also starring Nayanthara and Deepika Padukone, Jawan emerged as one of the biggest Hindi film hits of recent times, also earning Shah Rukh his first ever National Award.
