On Monday, ZEE5 announced the streaming date of Everybody Loves Sohrab Handa. Starring Vinay Pathak and Neil Bhoopalam in major roles, the film will begin streaming on Friday, April 10.
Directed by Rajat Kapoor, Everybody Loves Sohrab Handa promises to be a murder mystery with a hint of dark comedy. “15 Friends. 1 Party. 1 Mysterious Murder. But the real question is - who wanted him dead?,” the streamer captioned the announcement post. While it never had a wide theatrical release, the film had its premiere nearly 3 years ago at MAMI film festival, in November 2023.
Bankrolled by Sameer Nair and Deepak Segal under Applause Entertainment in association with Rajat’s Mithya Talkies, Everybody Loves Sohrab Handa boasts a stellar ensemble cast, with actors like Ranvir Shorey, Saurabh Shukla, Koel Purie, MK Raina, Palomi Ghosh, Chandrachoor Rai and Sadiya Siddiqui among others on board. Rajat too will be seen in a key role.
Sagar Desai has composed music for the film. The film also has veteran cinematographer Rafey Mohammed and editor Suresh Pai on board.
This will be Rajat Kapoor’s first major release as a director since RK/Rkay (2021), a crowdfunded film that had a limited release in 2022.
