Season 5 of the acclaimed comedy-drama series Panchayat has officially started filming. The show’s platform Prime Video took to social media on Friday to celebrate the sixth-year anniversary of the show’s first season (which came out on April 3, 2020) and to also announce that the upcoming season 5 has started shooting.
Sharing some behind-the-scenes photos from the shoot featuring the series cast Jitendra Kumar, Faisal Malik, Raghubir Yadav, Neena Gupta, Chandan Roy, Sanvikaa, Sunita Rajvar, Durgesh Kumar and Ashok Pathak, among others. Some pictures also feature the show’s director Deepak Kumar Mishra.
The previous season ended with Sachiv ji Abhishek (Jitendra) planning his next move after receiving his CAT results, Manju Devi (Neena) reeling from the sting of defeat in the Panchayat elections, and Pradhan Ji (Raghubir) visibly shaken by the outcome. Season 5 is geared up to pick up right from this charged moment, with twists and turns peppered with Phulera style humour, drama, and heartfelt moments.
Produced by The Viral Fever, the release date of Panchayat season 5 still under wraps.
