Vir Das, who recently made his directorial debut with Happy Patel: Khatarnaak Jasoos, is now ready for his next directorial project. The actor-filmmaker has now announced a found-footage horror film titled Baara Number, reportedly a first for Hindi cinema.
For Baara Number, Vir will be reuniting with his Happy Patel co-director Kavi Shastri. The film will be backed by Vir’s Zazu Productions.
According to sources, the film is scheduled to go on floors in June, with the makers planning to commence shooting in Mumbai. More details about the project, including the primary cast members, are yet to be announced.
It is to be noted that Vir Das was also the part of India’s first mainstream Zombie Film Go Goa Gone (2013) as an actor. Baara Number promises to be another landmark film both for Vir and Indian cinema.
Meanwhile, Happy Patel had its OTT premiere on Wednesday.
