‘Dhana Pisaachi’, a song from Sonakshi Sinha’s upcoming supernatural film, Jatadhara was unveiled by the makers on Tuesday. It is composed by Samira Koppikar, sung by Madhubanti Bagchi and written by Puneet Sharma.
The music video of the song blends the powerful lyrics with the intense visuals featuring Sonakshi as she dances with a raw intensity as the demonic goddess Dhanapisachini, who represents greed. The song carries a rousing energy which is matched by the powerful expressions that Sonakshi puts into the dance steps. The lyrical song shows Sonakshi donning a fierce avatar as she is seen killing a person with a sword and then drinking the blood.
Speaking about the song, music composer Samaira said, “It’s been a unique and joyful experience. An expression of divine feminine energy that too a sort of Tandav song for ‘Dhana Pisaachi’. Although it was challenging yet fulfilling. For the song, I had to capture the spirit of the divine diva musically and also do a bit of research to push the boundaries. I loved the experience.”
