Actor Kirti Kulhari is set to be present for the world premiere of her upcoming film, Full Plate, at the Busan International Film Festival 2025. Written and directed by Tannishtha Chatterjee, the film also stars Sharib Hashmi, Indraneil Sengupta and Monica Dogra in pivotal roles.
As per a press release, the film is a moving, intimate exploration of food, faith, and everyday resilience. Kirti essays the lead role of Amreen, a homemaker with a talent for cooking. Her husband’s accident forces her to earn a living, leading to her husband's insecurity and her personal transformation.
Speaking about the film, Kirti said, “Full Plate is a film that’s deeply close to my heart, and for it to begin its journey at a prestigious platform like Busan feels incredibly special. As an actor, it’s rare to find stories that challenge and move you in equal measure — Amreen’s journey did exactly that for me. I’m excited for the world to meet her and grateful that we’re starting this chapter on such a global stage.”
She added, “This film means a lot to me, because I gave it my blood and sweat. I'm really looking forward to being there and witnessing this film be screened for all cinema-lovers. I have a feeling it's going to be really special.”
Full Plate is produced by Ashutosh Goswami and Anup Chitnis (Ashutosh Entertainments), and Mohaan Nadaar and Ketki Pandit (Teamo HQ Productions Ltd).
Kirti was seen earlier this year in R Madhavan’s Hisaab Barabar and Himesh Reshammiya’s Badass Ravikumar. She will be seen next in the fourth and final season of her series Four More Shots Please, along with another untitled film currently in production.
