The teaser of Kajol and Twinkle Khanna’s upcoming talk show, Two Much was unveiled by the makers on Friday. With a new episode dropping every Thursday, Kajol and Twinkle are set to host a range of celebrities for unfiltered conversations in the first season of the show. It is conceptualised and produced by Banijay Asia.
The teaser features Kajol and Twinkle talking about their show in a quirky manner. Kajol asks, “Tired of the same old celebrity juice?”. Twinkle questions, “Bored of dull and lifeless chat shows?”. Then a voiceover says, “Presenting a new and improved chat show” as the two come walking towards the screen wearing a maroon dress. Kajol is described as the ‘Goddess of giggles’ while Twinkle is called the ‘Savage host’ as the two are set to streamline conversations with celebs. The teaser ends with the two having a banter about overselling the show by describing it so much.
Sharing the teaser, the makers wrote, “when wit and sass react, the result is Two Much.”
The show is described as ‘chatty’ and ‘unhinged’ by the makers. “With eight unique pairs gracing the couch this season, the conversations jump from filmy nostalgia to family drama, love, paparazzi, fame and everything in between. What sets it apart is the unapologetic female gaze - a perspective that’s funny, sharp, and not afraid to hold up a mirror to society,” read a synopsis.
Meanwhile, Kajol was last seen in the mythological-horror film Maa, which was released in theatres last month. Twinkle has been away from films since her last major appearance in the 2001 romantic-comedy Love Ke Liye Kuch Bhi Karega. She is the bestselling author, known for writing the non-fiction book, Mrs Funnybones (2015) and the novels Pyjamas Are Forgiving (2018) and Welcome to Paradise (2023).
