‘Gulabi Saawariya’, a new song from Divya Khossla’s upcoming comedy-drama, Ek Chatur Naar was unveiled by the makers on Monday. It is composed by Abhijeet Srivastava with vocals by Sachet Tandon & Shilpa Rao and lyrics by Shayra Apoorva
The song is a dance number made around the festival of Holi as we see Divya and actor Rajneish Duggal dance their heart away on the peppy beats. The music video begins with Rajneish playing the guitar and describing his feelings upon seeing Divya. She is seen applying colours to his face as they are doing the hook step together which is choreographed by Shazia Shamji and Piyush Bhagat. The song acts a conversation where Divya seems to respond to Rajneish in the subsequent portion with the vocals by Shilpa adding a playful flair to the lyrics.
Helmed by OMG (2012) director Umesh Shukla, the film also stars Neil Nitin Mukesh, Chhaya Kadam, Sushant Singh, Zakir Hussain, Yashpal Sharma, Heli Daruwala, Rose Sardana and Geeta Agarwal Sharma in pivotal roles. The film’s story is written by Himanshu Tripathi with screenplay by Jay Master and Umesh. Jay has also penned the dialogues for the film which is shot by Sameer Arya and edited by Mayur Hardas.
Its trailer was unveiled recently where Divya seems to be playing a woman of meagre means who makes way by hustling. One day she comes across a lost phone which stores an intimate video of a powerful businessman (played by Neil). This sparks a diabolical idea in her head as she starts blackmailing the businessman.
Ek Chatur Naar has been presented by T-Series and produced by Umesh, Ashish Wagh, Zeeshan Ahmad. It is slated to release in theatres on September 12.
Divya was last seen in the crime-thriller, Savi which released in theatres last year and also starred Harshvardhan Rane and Anil Kapoor in pivotal roles.
