Amitabh Bachchan took to social media on Wednesday to share his reaction after watching the trailer of his grandson, Agastya Nanda’s upcoming war-drama, Ikkis. Bachchan penned an emotional note for Agastya, wishing him to bring more pride for the family.

Bachchan shared the film’s trailer and wrote, “Agastya! I held you in my hands as soon as you were born. Few months later, I held you again in my hands and your soft fingers reached out to play with my beard. Today, you play in theatres all over the world.”

He added, “You are special. All my prayers and blessings to you. May you ever bring glory to your work and the greatest pride for the family.”

Directed by Sriram Raghavan, Ikkis tells the story of Second Lieutenant Arun Khetarpal, India’s youngest Param Vir Chakra awardee, who was just 21 when he participated in the Indo-Pak war in 1971. The film’s trailer, unveiled on Wednesday, gave a glimpse into his life, from his days of training at the National Defence Academy to the moments on the battlefield.
