After its world premiere at Busan International Film festival, followed by opening the Indian Film Festival of Sydney, Kirti Kulhari headliner Full Plate will now have its India premiere at the upcoming Dharamshala International Film Festival.
Helmed by Tannishtha Chatterjee, the film will be shown at the 14th edition of the festival, which will run from October 30 to November 2.
“After travelling across international shores, Full Plate is finally coming home — and I couldn’t have asked for a more special homecoming than the Dharamshala International Film Festival,” said Kirti.
“There’s something moving about sharing this story with audiences here in India, where its emotions and essence truly belong. DIFF feels like the perfect place for Full Plate - rooted, thoughtful, and full of heart,” she added.
As per a press release, the film is a moving, intimate exploration of food, faith, and everyday resilience. Kirti essays the lead role of Amreen, a homemaker with a talent for cooking. Her husband’s accident forces her to earn a living, leading to her husband's insecurity and her personal transformation.
The film also features actors Sharib Hashmi, Indraneil Sengupta and Monica Dogra. It is produced by Ashutosh Goswami and Anup Chitnis (Ashutosh Entertainments), and Mohaan Nadaar and Ketki Pandit (Teamo HQ Productions Ltd).
