In the latest episode of Bigg Boss 19, Salman Khan seemed to address multiple things that are being said about him recently. The actor took a dig at filmmaker Abhinav Kashyap for his recent comments about Salman and asked if Abhinav got any work lately.
During a fun interaction with comedian Ravi Gupta on the show, Salman spoke about the ongoing controversy. He seemed to indirectly make a comment about Abhinav’s remarks and said that some people in the industry are “too busy pulling others down instead of focusing on their work.”
The superstar also further referred to how Aamir Khan was also dragged by the filmmaker while criticising Salman. “We have one more Dabbang person. He even dragged Aamir (Aamir Khan) into this. During Weekend Ka Vaar last week, I asserted ‘Just do your work, nobody’s interested.’ Today, I want to ask again, ‘Did you get any work?’ People who badmouth everyone around them will find it hard to work with anyone.” He added that such negativity damages relationships and reputations in the film industry.
Salman also revealed that his team had once approached Abhinav for a film, but the director turned it down. “Now, the person you have named will not work with you, nor the people associated with the person. When we offered you a film, you said you wouldn’t do it,” Salman said.
“The one thing that hurts me the most is that you are destroying yourself. If you want to get after someone, please go after your family or your brother (Anurag Kashyap). Or, love your brother, your parents, your wife. That’s the least you can do,” Salman added.
The actor also gave an advice to Abhinav saying, “I want to see you grow, you are a talented man. Aacha likhta hai (He is a good writer). Yeh gali mat jao. Wapis se aa jao highway pe (Don’t go down this lane, take a u-turn from this highway).”
Salman also responded to Abhinav’s remark claiming that the actor will soon “fall to his knees and even beg”. Salman said, “Only God will take care of you. And friend, you talk about me going down on my knees, I go down on knees every morning but to pray.”
In a series of interviews, Abhinav came down strongly on Salman and criticised his work ethics when he collaborated with the superstar on Dabangg (2011), the filmmaker’s directorial debut. He even accused the actor’s family of sabotaging his career after he refused to direct the film’s sequel. Abhinav also said that his brother Anurag stepped away from the 2003 film Tere Naam, also starring Salman, after a fallout with its producer Boney Kapoor.
“Salman is not even interested in acting, and he hasn’t been since the last 25 years. He does a favour by turning up to work. He is more into the power of being a celebrity, but he is not interested in acting. He is a gunda (goon). I was not aware of this before Dabangg. Salman badtameez hai, ganda insaan hai (Salman is ill-mannered, he is a bad person),” Abhinav said in an interview with Screen.
