‘Dilbar Ki Aankhon Ka’, a song from Ayushmann Khurrana and Rashmika Mandanna’s upcoming film, Thamma, was unveiled by the makers on Tuesday. Featuring Nora Fatehi, the song has been composed by Sachin-Jigar, written by Amitabh Bhattacharya and sung by Rashmeet Kaur and Jigar Saraiya.
The song is a dance number featuring Nora grooving on the tunes with the steps choreographed by Vijay A Ganguly. The music has an old school feeling to it with the vocals by Rashmeet and Jigar adding a powerful energy to the playful lyrics by Amitabh. Ayushmann and Rashmika briefly appear in the song as they are seen climbing down steps to reach the den where Nora dances with intensity.
Speaking about the experience of working in the song, Nora said in a statement, ‘Dilbar Ki Aankhon Ka’ was an absolute thrill to perform. Feeling every beat and knowing the audience would want to groove along made it so exciting. This song is completely explosive and continues the era of high-energy performances and iconic Bollywood glamour — the same spirit the audience has always loved seeing from me. The choreography is powerful, the hook step is catchy, and every moment on set felt like moving to the heartbeat of the music itself.”
Previously the trailer of the film was unveiled by the makers. It introduced us to Alok (Ayushmann) who turns into a vampire after an encounter with Nawazuddin’s Yakshasan. As Alok unravels his new powers, he falls in love with Rashmika’s Tadaka and has to prepare with a final showdown with Yakshasan.
Written by Niren Bhatt, Suresh Mathew and Arun Fulara and helmed by Munjya (2024) director Aditya Sarpotdar, Thamma will also feature Paresh Rawal and Sathyaraj in pivotal roles.
Produced by Dinesh Vijan, Amar Kaushik and co-produced by Sharada Karki Jalota, Pooja Prem Patheja, Thamma will be released in theatres on Diwali on October 21.
