Janhvi Kapoor took to Instagram on Thursday to express her anger over a hit and run case in Jaipur that led to the death of a teenager. She questioned the driver’s ‘reckless behavior’ for driving under the influence of alcohol.
Janhvi shared a video about the incident posted by Jist and wrote, “What enables such reckless behaviour? What makes anyone think it's okay to drive under the influence of alcohol and endanger themselves and people around them?”
She added, “The casual nature of this crime is baffling. The amount of deaths and injuries due to drinking and driving even more so. Why aren't we more respectful and aware about the fact that it is AGAINST THE LAW.”
As per reports, a woman under the influence of alcohol rammed her car into a bike, leading to the death of a girl and leaving two others injured. The incident took place on Monday as the car collided with the bike carrying the three people.
Janhvi has spoken up against such incidents in the past as well. Last month, she shared another video of an accident that took place in Vadodara and wrote, “This is appalling and enraging. Sick to my stomach about anyone thinking this kind of behaviour is something they can get away with. Intoxicated or not.”
