It is set in early 2000s showing a rise of crime and violence in the state of West Bengal. Challenging the authority of gangsters and politicians is IPS Arjun Maitra (Jeet) who vows to bring justice and peace to the state. The trailer features visuals of violence, action and strategies meted out by the top cop in trying to wipe out crime from the state. He chases gangsters, engages in gunfights and emerges as the fearless barrier to all the nefarious activities.

Speaking about the show, Neeraj said, “The world of Khakee has always been about larger-than-life conflicts, high-stakes drama, and nuanced characters that redefine the lines between good and evil. With Khakee: The Bengal Chapter, we take this intensity to a whole new level. Set against the vivid backdrop of Kolkata, this chapter delves into gripping power struggles and follows a relentless IPS officer who dares to challenge the system. The entire ensemble cast has delivered exceptional performances, ensuring that Khakee: The Bengal Chapter is an evolution of the beloved narrative.”

Produced by Shital Bhatia, the show is set to premiere on Netflix on March 20.
