
Raid 2 (Netflix): First up on Hindi OTT is this theatrical hit where Ajay Devgn returns as the honest income tax officer, Amay Patnaik as he takes on the enigmatic politician Dadabhai played by Riteish Deshmukh. The film features them devising plans to outplay each other in an ultimate battle of wit and deception. Directed by Raj Kumar Gupta, the film also stars Vaani Kapoor, Amit Sial, Brijendra Kala and Supriya Pathak in pivotal roles. It was released in theatres on June 26 and is currently streaming on Netflix.
Panchayat season 4 (Prime Video): It is election season in the quaint, quirky town of Phulera this time. On one side is Sachivji, Abhishek (Jitendra Kumar), Pradhanji Brij Bhushan (Raghubir Yadav), Manju Devi (Neena Gupta) and Prahlad (Faisal Malik) facing off with the evil Banrakas (Durgesh Kumar) and his wife Kranti Devi (Sunita Rajwar). Both parties devise schemes and give out freebies (includes samosas) to attract votes. The series is created by The Viral Fever (TVF), directed by Deepak Kumar Mishra and written by Chandan Kumar. It is streaming on Prime Video.
Mistry (JioHotstar, June 27): The third release on Hindi OTT this week is an Indian adaptation of the 2002 US show Monk. It stars Ram Kapoor as Armaan Mistry, a detective having OCD, who has unconventional ways of working which others seldom take seriously. Mona Singh plays a fearless cop, Sehmat, who joins him on the investigation for a crime. The show is directed by Rishab Seth and also stars Shikha Talsania and Kshitish Date in pivotal roles.
