Panchayat season 4 trailer: Jitendra Kumar, Raghubir Yadav and Neena Gupta return to Phulera as it gears up for polls

The trailer and release date of the fourth season of the acclaimed comedy-drama series Panchayat was unveiled by the makers on Wednesday. The series created by The Viral Fever (TVF), directed by Deepak Kumar Mishra and written by Chandan Kumar, stars Jitendra Kumar, Raghubir Yadav, Neena Gupta, Faisal Malik and Chandan Roy, amongst others.

The trailer takes us back to the sleepy, quirky village of Phulera. Everybody is gearing up for the elections for the new pradhan (village head). On one side is Sachivji Abhishek (Jitendra), Pradhanji Brij Bhushan (Raghubir), Manju Devi (Neena) and Prahlad (Faisal) facing off with the evil Banrakas (Durgesh Kumar) and his wife Kranti Devi (Sunita Rajwar). Both parties will devise any scheme and give out freebies (includes samosas) to attract votes. Lyricist Swanand Kirkire, whose role was teased in the earlier season, is also seen in the trailer.

The new season will start streaming on Prime Video from June 24.
