Ekta Kapoor’s Balaji Telefilms and Netflix enter into a long-term creative collaboration

Ekta Kapoor’s Balaji Telefilms and streaming platform Netflix have entered into a long-term creative collaboration for a range of projects across different formats. They have previously collaborated on films like Kathal, Pagglait, Jaane Jaan and Dolly Kitty Aur Woh Chamakte Sitare.

As per a press release, the collaboration includes an untitled series, which is currently in advanced stages of development. More details about the projects are awaited.

Making the announcement, the two wrote on Instagram, “Rooted in India. Ready for the world.”

Speaking about the collaboration, Ekta said in a press release, “Partnering with Netflix, the world’s leading storytelling platform known for its premium content and constant innovation, is a big moment for us. It allows us to bring powerful, culturally rooted, and emotionally resonant stories to a global audience.
