The trailer of Rana Daggubati, Venkatesh and Arjun Rampal’s Rana Naidu Season 2 was unveiled by the makers on Tuesday. Created by Karan Anshuman, who has also co-directed it with Suparn Varma and Abhay Chopra, the series also stars Surveen Chawla, Kriti Kharbanda, Sushant Singh, Abhishek Banerjee, and Dino Morea in pivotal roles.

The trailer opens with Rana having a conversation with his wife, Naina (Surveen) where he claims to be quitting his job. This is intercut with visuals of him engaged in a fight. His father, Naga (Venkatesh) seems to be conspiring against Rana. He says at one point, “There is only man who can break Rana. His father.” Family secrets come to the center causing a rift between Rana and his brothers, played by Sushant and Abhishek. Then comes Arjun’s character, as he is seen brutally beating Rana. The trailer then gives a quick glimpse into some intense action and combat sequences that are filmed in a stylistic way.

Rana Naidu Series Review: A terrific Venkatesh, and a brooding Rana Daggubati anchor a compelling readaptation

Speaking about the show, Karan said in a press release, “Season 2 is bigger, darker, and way more intense. Rana and Naga are still butting heads — two strong-willed men weighed down by their past and their own flaws. Let’s just say the Naidu family drama is hitting a whole new level of chaos. Loyalties are shifting, tempers are flaring, and the line between love and betrayal is getting dangerously blurry. And just when things couldn’t get any more complicated, Arjun Rampal’s Rauf steps into the storm, shaking everything up.”

The series is set to premiere on Netflix on June 13.
