Kareena Kapoor Khan took to Instagram on Thursday evening to write a note about the knife attack on her husband Saif Ali Khan. She called it an ‘incredibly challenging day for our family’ and requested the media to respect their boundaries as they cope up from the incident.
Kareena wrote, “It has been an incredibly challenging day for our family, and we are still trying to process the events that have unfolded. As we navigate this difficult time, I respectfully and humbly request that the media and paparazzi refrain from the relentless speculation and coverage."
She added, “While we appreciate the concern and support, the constant scrutiny and attention are not only overwhelming but also pose a significant risk to our safety. I kindly request that you respect our boundaries and give us the space we need to heal and cope as a family. I would like to thank you in advance for your understanding and cooperation during this sensitive time.”
At around midnight of January 16, an intruder entered the Mumbai home of Saif and Kareena and attacked Saif when he was saving his family. The actor sustained six injuries after the knife attack and was rushed to the Lilavati hospital at around 2:30 am where he was treated for all his wounds. The police found CCTV footage in the building where the suspect’s face is visible and is currently investigating the matter.
The doctors told PTI on Thursday that Saif is on the recovery path and will be discharged in the coming days.
