
Saif Ali Khan’s team has released an official statement on his attack and said that he has come out of surgery and is out of danger. The actor was attacked with a knife around midnight on Thursday in a robbery attempt at his house in Mumbai's Bandra.
The statement read, “Saif Ali Khan has come out of surgery and is out of danger. He is currently in recovery and the doctors are monitoring his progress. All family members are safe and the police is investigating the incident. We would like to thank Dr. Niraj Uttamani, Dr. Nitin Dange, Dr Leena Jain and the team at Lilavati hospital. Thank you to all his fans and well-wishers for their prayers and thoughts during this time.”
The actor reportedly sustained a total of six wounds, out of which two are deep cuts, with one wound near his neck. He was brought to the hospital at 3:30 am.
According to reports, the intruder broke into their house at around 1 pm and was seen by one of the nannies who alerted everyone. The intruder had a knife in hand and Saif was trying to save his family from the intruder when he got attacked.
