Bosco Martis opened up recently about choregraphing Shahid Kapoor’s song ‘Bhasad Macha’ from Deva and said that the moves were designed so as to suit the character Shahid plays in the film. Deva is directed by Rosshan Andrrews and also stars Pooja Hegde alongside Shahid.
Speaking about the sequence, Bosco said, “There was a defined body language that he had manicured, and that’s what we dwelled upon. We created dance moves that could suit his character. The free-spirited sequence allowed him to embody this person with free-flowing energy.”
The song features some highly energetic dance moves and Shahid executes it in style. Earlier, the film’s teaser was unveiled which juxtaposed visuals from the song with some intense moments from the film, ending with him holding a gun against a big poster of Amitabh Bachchan from Deewar (1975).
Deva is produced by Zee Studios and Roy Kapur Films and is set to be released in theatres on January 31.
