The trailer of Jackie Shroff’s upcoming crime-thriller series Chidiya Udd was unveiled by the makers on Wednesday. The show is helmed by acclaimed Marathi director Ravi Jadhav, known for making films like Natarang (2009) Timepass (2014) and Nude (2018) among others. He recently directed the biopic Main Atal Hoon (2023).
The trailer gives a glimpse into the show’s gritty world of prostitutes and gangsters. Jackie plays a dreaded crime-lord, who has a stark presence in the trailer consisting of some intense dialogues. The show seems to delve into themes of human trafficking, with the character played by Bhoomika looking like fighting against odds for survival from gangsters and cops alike.
The show also stars Sikandar Kher, Bhoomika Meena, Madhur Mittal, Mita Vashisht, Mayur More, Flora Saini, Abha Parmar and Upen Chauhan in pivotal roles.
It is written by Mohinder Pratap Singh and Chintan Gandhi. Produced by Pammi Baweja, Harman Baweja and Vicky Bahri, Chidiya Udd set to be released on Amazon MX Player on January 15.
