Diljit Dosanjh opened up recently about his much-delayed political-thriller Panjab '95 and said that he will support the film only if it’s released without any cuts. The actor addressed the film’s continued delay as it faces difficulties in getting cleared by the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC).

In his recent Instagram live, Diljit said, “I hope the film gets released in India soon.  I will support only that film that will be released fully without any cuts. If you release the film without cuts, I will come, otherwise with cuts it doesn’t matter. I hope some solution will come out and it will release in Punjab”

The film, directed by Honey Trehan and also starring Arjun Rampal in a pivotal role, has been awaiting release since the past few years. As per reports, the CBFC asked for over 120 cuts in the film owing to its sensitive subject.

The film’s teaser was unveiled last month, which gave a glimpse into its grim world where people are dying in mysterious circumstances. Diljit’s character, Jassi, investigates and decides to bring the truth of the matter in front of everyone. It was announced to be releasing on March 7, but got delayed again.

Panjab ‘95 is shot by acclaimed cinematographer KU Mohanan and edited by A Sreekar Prasad. It is produced by Ronnie Screwvala, Honey Trehan, and Abhishek Chaubey.
