Badass Ravi Kumar Box Office: Himesh Reshammiya’s actioner surges past Loveyapa, earns Rs 2.75 crore

Himesh Reshammiya’s over-the-top actioner Badass Ravi Kumar has earned Rs 2.75 crore at the box-office on its opening day, as per Sacnilk.com. The film is directed by Keith Gomes and also stars Prabhu Deva, Kirti Kulhari, Sanjay Mishra, Johnny Lever and Saurabh Sachdeva.

The film has surged past the first day collections of Junaid Khan and Khushi Kapoor’s romantic-comedy, Loveyapa, which managed to mint Rs 1.25 crore on Day 1. Badass Ravi Kumar had an overall Hindi occupancy of 17.28 % on Friday.

The film is produced by Himesh and also features music composed by him. He has also written the screenplay with Kushal Bakshi.

CE’s review of the film reads, “Badass Ravi Kumar tricks you into thinking it knows what it's doing. At a time when films aren’t making you laugh with them, you think, at least here’s something I can laugh at. But the whole self-mockery and self-awareness of Badass is just eyewash for absolute nonsense. A bad film that knows it is bad might not be a bad film. Badass Ravi Kumar is just bad.”
